Fulham’s move to sign PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi has collapsed after the Dutch club failed to secure a replacement before the transfer deadline.
The Premier League side had reached an agreement with PSV on a package worth around €37 million (£32m) for the 23-year-old American international. However, PSV ultimately refused to give the deal final approval, citing their inability to bring in a suitable replacement in time.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that PSV informed Fulham on Monday morning that the transfer would not proceed, despite terms being agreed between the two clubs.
Pepi, who joined PSV from Augsburg in 2023, has been a key performer in the Eredivisie, scoring 11 goals and registering two assists in 22 appearances this season. He is currently sidelined with a broken arm but was still viewed by Fulham as a long-term attacking option.
The collapse of the deal leaves Fulham without the striker reinforcement they were targeting as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
