Casemiro has confirmed that he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season, but insists his focus remains fully on helping the club succeed before his departure.
In an official statement published on Manchester United’s website, the Brazilian midfielder spoke warmly about his connection to the club and its supporters.
“I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life,” Casemiro said. “From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club.”
The former Real Madrid star made it clear that his time at the club is not yet over, adding: “It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months. We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.”
Casemiro is set to leave Old Trafford as a free agent in June, bringing his spell at Manchester United to a close after two seasons.
