Álvaro Arbeloa has taken charge of his first training session as Real Madrid head coach as the team stepped up preparations for their Copa del Rey Round of 16 encounter against Albacete.
According to an official statement published on Real Madrid’s website, the former defender oversaw the session at Real Madrid City as Los Blancos gear up for Wednesday night’s fixture at the Carlos Belmonte, with kick-off scheduled for 9:00 pm CET.
Training began with a group running warm-up led by fitness coach Antonio Pintus, before the players moved into rondos. The session then progressed to combination drills and ball circulation exercises, finishing with shooting work. A small-sided game concluded the workout.
The club also provided an update on player availability, confirming that Antonio Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy, Trent, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappé trained indoors, while Éder Militão continues his recovery programme.
Real Madrid will travel to face Albacete on Wednesday as they look to secure a place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
